|
| Plague is a disease caused by bacteria that is transmitted from rodents to humans through fleas. Historically, it is the most deadly and feared of all human diseases, and is arguably the only disease known to have altered the course of human history.

| Symptoms include high fever, aching limbs and vomiting of blood. Swelled glands around neck, armpit and groin are characteristic signs of the disease. The swelling protrudes and turns black. The whole process from first symptom to the bursting of swollen glands leading to death happens in three to four days. The swiftness of the disease makes it a terrifying disease. |

| Plague is a communicable disease and spreads quickly in rat-infested areas. People in the affected area at best can avoid it for 2-3 weeks by taking medicine.
But the best way is to take precautions and control growth of rodents in your homes and around it.
